Sean Huurman, CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Sean Huurman, a tenured global business executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience, joined the Service King team in 2016 as Chief Human Resources Officer. Huurman arrives at Service King after serving as Chief Administrative Officer at Imagine Communications where he was responsible for the company’s global workforce, information technology, and real estate initiatives. As Service King’s CHRO, Huurman will oversee all administrative operations while leading the department’s efforts as the company continues to expand its national footprint.

Prior to his role as CAO, Huurman served as the company’s Chief People Officer, dedicated to the transformation of the organization’s culture and workforce following its divestiture from Harris Corporation in February 2013. He brings 25 years of extensive global business experience in several industries coupled with functional and strategic Human Resources and Real Estate expertise focused on talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards, facility management, and organizational development. Huurman’s strategic strength lies in executive/leadership development and building high performance cultures.

In 2010 Mr. Huurman founded The Talen Group, LLC, an independent human resources management consulting firm established to support the ongoing needs of prior employees of BearingPoint, Inc., as well as advisory strategic human resource services for various organizations. Huurman recently sat on the Board of Directors for GatesAir, Inc., a subsidiary of Imagine Communications, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Coppell High School Hockey Association.

Prior to Imagine Communications, Mr. Huurman served as the Chief People Officer at GENBAND, where he played a key role in the global acquisition and assimilation of the CVAS division of Nortel, catapulting the company to four-times its size overnight. Prior to GENBAND, he spent thirteen years with KPMG and its spin-off, a $3B publically traded management consulting firm, BearingPoint, Inc. While at BearingPoint Huurman served, among other positions, as the Vice President of Global Human Resources and was a member of the company’s Global Executive Leadership Team. Huurman began his career at Applied Materials, holding a variety of human resource positions during his tenure.

Huurman was recognized multiple years by the Metroplex Technology Business Council as a nominee for the “Tech Titan - Community Hero” award for his continued work in support of global community outreach efforts. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Santa Clara University and a Master's degree in Human Resources and Employee Relations from Pennsylvania State University.
